On the way to Tillamook from Oregon City is a big barn that has a quilt painted on the side. We stopped there once and inside they had the most interesting exhibits on quilting and weaving. We loved to go to antique stores and hunt out the old linens. What wonderful memories!

Last October she took us to Sister's OR. It is a town known for quilting and it's little shops geared towards quilters and crafters! We had a wonderful day and it was so beautiful in October with the leaves turning and the fall colors. I remember that each time we went to OR for a visit, we found a quilt store or fabric shop, Julie was thoughtful that way. Course we always tried to go to a store she liked too....that wasn't too hard to do!
I think Julie is in heaven right now smiling when we think of her. Her smile was contagious! I hope she is enjoying ice cream because she had the biggest smile when ice cream and shopping were involved.

I too was thinking about being in Portland in Oct. The last time for me was when she had her colon surgery> I walked around the hospital many times picking up the beautiful fallen leaves and collecting them. After she got home from the hospital and was able we walked along the Clackamas river with Carmela, went to the pumpkin farm and the dahlia farm. What a great time we had.
